There are almost endless questions I have about what to cover about writing and magic, but I am sure you have addressed many if not most of them in the book. I do believe we are surrounded by a magic, or mystery, in our lives that we can access through curiosity and a deep respect for its process, and honoring of this magic. However, here are two questions: How to appear (physically, spiritually, emotionally) to allow my writing to live through me? What deep bud do I need to access to bring the writing to a glorious blossom?

What deep and thoughtful questions these are. Thank you. I wish I could engage in a long conversation with you about these. Really, this is everything--how to "appear" although sometimes it's how to disappear.

I would love to have a conversation with you regarding these things. And, many others, I feel. I have not thought about disappearing, which is intriguing. I wonder if disappearing is really accessing appearing through another conduit, or pathway?

My husband is a horseman of exceptional talents. One of the things, if not the most important, in his work with horses is to create a space where the horse can appear in its true nature. Only when the horse truly appears can it be worked with in partnership. Working with a horse who has not felt safe enough to appear is working with superficiality and is false. Truly appearing has a great deal to do with being able to feel safe. From watching his work and applying the idea of appearing to my own work with horses and life is transforming, to say the least.
