Janisse! So glad to hear good news from your farm in the south of Georgia. Glad to hear you and Raven and the animals are safe and thriving. And I hope Little Fawn is flourishing, whether with her tough-as-hickory Grandmother Many Stories, or with your daughter, a [very] young mother in training.

P.S. Writing by candlelight in a quiet house in the country seems a perfect way to practice your writer's art.
Janisse thank you for such generous sharing of your craft wisdom. So glad to hear you and your tribe fared well in the storm, although I'm sad for the legacy oak.♥️
Thank you for this Janisse! I too continued my daily writing practice despite a lack of electricity. I knew it would be important to have the details of my feelings after the storm. We’re on Day 15 without power. Our co-op was 100% down on Day 1 and we’re WAY out here at the end of a line that received extensive damage. I’m praying we’re restored within the next week. Luckily we have a generator & underground fiber so we’ve finally figured out how to work the breaker box to get internet service. Our generator isn’t big enough to run even our little house but it has been a lifesaver to keep water to our animals.
Writing a little something every day has saved my sanity & I hope to put something together to share on my Substack this weekend.
Thank you, Janisse. Glad to know that you and family are fine.
Excellent encouragement about keeping one's writing projects obvious; my new laptop hides all of my files by default. Book project is now on the visible desktop (not the hidden one)!
Happy and relieved to hear all of you are well! What a year for hurricanes! Thank you for the reintroduction to "Atomic Habits." I read it a couple years ago and need to read it again. I like writing every day at a certain time as opposed to leaving it open ended. Not setting a time gives you room for talking yourself out of writing. Thank you!
A question re: the flash nonfiction event. Will it be recorded? There is a conflict for me and I would miss at least the first 15 minutes. Or, is there another time planned in the near future?

No way I could have said this better, Lamont. Hugs. And what he said.
I love you so much 💧💦🩵

Just what I needed. Glad you got writing done in the midst of outages, etc.
It's so good to hear you are OK and safe.

So happy to hear that you are safe and slowly getting back services.
See you tomorrow1
